Frequently Asked Questions
When will my order ship?
Production takes about 4 to 5 weeks. There are no updates during that stage; they reach out as soon as production is finished. Once the order is ready they package it and create shipping labels, and you get an email with tracking info (senders: Deliveright, What A Room, or Metro). After labels are made it can take a few days for the freight carrier to pick up. Once it reaches the local hub, the delivery team contacts you to schedule drop-off. Transit is typically 7 to 14 business days.
How do I track my order?
Once the order is ready to ship you receive an email with tracking details directly from the carrier. When the shipment reaches your local area, the final-mile delivery team gets in touch to schedule a delivery date and time.
What is your return policy?
Returns accepted within 60 days of delivery for custom pieces in new or like-new condition. Refund is the original purchase amount minus a 15% return processing fee and a pickup fee. Return shipping costs the same as the original delivery fee, and delivery fees are non-refundable once an order has shipped. No returns on Clearance items or COM (customer's own material) orders. What A Room reserves the right to refuse items that are not in as-new condition due to customer damage or misuse. Start a return on the returns page.
What is your warranty for custom sofas and sectionals?
Lifetime warranty on frame, suspension, and construction against manufacturing defects. One year on cushions and fabric. Cushion coverage includes abnormal loss of resiliency (significant sagging or flattening that does not recover after use) but not normal softening over time. Excluded: wear and tear, comfort preference, misuse, stains, pet damage, and issues from improper care or cleaning. Claims go through the claims form, with a response in 1 to 3 business days.
Can I return or exchange my sofa if I don't like it?
Exchanges on custom furniture are accepted if it arrives damaged, reported within 72 hours of delivery. Manufacturer defects are exchanged within 60 days of receipt. Preference-based changes (size, configuration, or fabric) are not exchanges: the original piece is processed as a return and a new order is placed. File a claim and a team member responds in 2 to 3 business days.

Yes, and it is free. The consultation covers which size and shape works, which color and fabric to choose, and what can be customized. You get three layout options in three formats (photorealistic eye-level view, overhead placement view, scaled measurements), typically in 2 to 3 business days.
