Freight Delivery - Made to order items, custom furniture, and large or heavy items

Freight delivery is used for furniture exceeding parcel carrier limits in size and weight. 

Basic Freight Details

  • Shipping time is approximately 7-10 business days, Mon–Fri and during daytime hours.
  • Handled by selected shipping companies in partnership with us.
  • Items are delivered to the door. For inquiries regarding White Glove service or in-home delivery, kindly reach out to sales@whataroom.com. We will verify the service availability for your zip code.
  • An adult (18 years or older) must be present to accept delivery. Signature is required.
  • We currently do not ship large furniture to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Puerto Rico, other United States territories & Internationally

Freight Delivery Fee

  • Additional charges may apply to special warehouse and residential circumstances, including remote locations not readily accessible; please call (408) 868-5203 for details about your location.
  • Fees: 
    • $149 - Order total up to $749
    • $199 - Order total $750 to $1199
    • $249 - Order total $1200 to $3999
    • $349 - Order total $4000 and up

Freight Delivery Process

  • You will receive an email notification with your tracking link once it has been picked up from our warehouse.
  • When your order arrives at a delivery hub in your area, a customer service agent from the freight company will contact you 1–2 days before your delivery date to schedule an estimated time of delivery.

Delivery limitations and Disclaimer

  • What A Room is NOT responsible for any incurred storage fees or held shipment charges should you choose to delay shipment. 
  • Freight delivery carriers will NOT carry your items up stairs or enter your home under any circumstances. For information about getting items delivered inside your home or special delivery options  contact us for  "White Glove Service for Freight Deliveries" below.

White Glove Service for Freight Deliveries (online orders)

Contact us to see if white glove service is available in your city. Price typically ranges between $99-$149 

Please measure your space (doorways, elevators, stairways, etc.) before buying products from us to ensure that they will fit into your home. If a product does not fit, it will be sent back to us and outbound and return shipping charges plus a restocking fee will be deducted from your refund.


Local Delivery (Bay Area, CA)

Local delivery is limited to orders that are within a certain radius to a store. Items are delivered with our own trucks and delivery service employees. This is usually the standard option for in-store orders. 

Online orders can check if this option is available by entering your zip code during checkout. 

Local Delivery Details

  • Includes two-man service, placement in a room of your choice, installation and removal of packaging.
  • 1-2 days before delivery, you will get a call with a 2-3 hour delivery time window. Time frames are routed geographically and cannot be changed. Once confirmed, if the delivery team is unable to deliver because no one is home or canceled by you on the day of then the original delivery fee will be lost. You will need to contact us to reschedule and pay for a redelivery.
