Unlike traditional down, trillium won’t clump, flatten, or require constant fluffing. It’s also hypoallergenic, making it a great choice for those with sensitivities to feathers or allergens. Whereas with down, feathers will pop out over time. Trillium-filled cushions are easier to maintain and hold their structure longer, giving you that cozy, cloud-like feel with less effort.

The Daphne U-Sectional with Chaise features a modern style with two side cushions and a low seat profile with a seat height of 17.5". Our deepest sofa collection with up to 48" sofa depth (31" seat depth). Allowing you to comfortably sit with your family & pets while relaxing in your home.
Back and seat cushion covers feature hidden zippers for easy removal and cleaning.

Shipping & Delivery
- Production time for custom orders: 4-5 weeks
- Shipping costs: $249 to $349, dependent on order value

- Delivery timeframe after custom sofa completion: 10-14 business days, subject to scheduling and location.

Returns & Exchanges
Returns
We offer returns within 60 days of delivery for items in new or like-new condition.
Returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee, and customers are responsible for a pickup fee. We’re unable to accept returns on items that show signs of wear, damage, or alterations, as well as any Special Orders or pieces made with customer’s own material (COM).
Exchanges
Exchanges for preference-based changes are processed as returns. If you’d like to change your sofa (size, configuration, or fabric), we’ll treat it as a return of the original piece and a new order.
Changes & Cancellations
You can update or cancel your order anytime before final approval. After approval, you have 72 hours to make changes at no additional fee (price differences may apply). After 72 hours, changes are case-by-case and may include a fee. Once production begins, changes and cancellations are no longer possible.
If you selected our "Buy Now, Decide Later" fabric option, you can change or cancel your order for a full refund with no penalties until you finalize your fabric selection.

Exceptional Cushion Quality
At What A Room, we use 2.5 lb High Resilient (HR) foam core for our seat cushions, a high-quality material often used in commercial-grade furniture. This is unlike the cheaper 1.5-2.0 lb foam found in many mass-produced sofas, making ours much more durable. Our foam can handle weight and pressure, staying in shape for over 10 years, which is much longer than the 3-7 years offered by other brands. Our goal is to deliver the most long-lasting cushions without losing out on comfort. You can pick how firm you want your seat cushion, all of which use a 2.5 lb HR foam core and are wrapped in Dacron or Down Feather for extra comfort and support.
In additional all our foams are CertiPUR-US® certified poly foam which is made without any harmful chemicals like ozone depleters, PBDE flame retardants, mercury, lead, heavy metals, formaldehyde, and phthalates.

Our frames are made with kiln-dried, solid wood that provides for exceptionally sturdy, long-lasting furniture pieces. Our frames are joined with corner blocks, ensuring extra lifespan & durability. All frames are backed by our limited lifetime frame warranty, applicable to the original owner and original delivery address only.
The kiln-drying process prevents frame warping and mildew in humid climates. Most of our sofas are designed with a “pitch”. This is a slight angle in the seat and/or back which allows you to comfortably sit back and almost sink into the sofa.

ARE THESE PRODUCTS TRULY 100% MADE IN THE USA?
Absolutely. Every single custom sofa & sectionals, framing & suspension that we make is manufactured in California, USA. Certain materials and components are sourced from outside of the United States as needed.
WHAT IS THE LEAD TIME?
Production takes 4-6 weeks. Once an item is packaged customers will get an automated message with a tracking number.
ARE THE PICTURES ONLINE ACCURATE? WILL THE COLORS AND STYLES LOOK THE SAME WHEN I GET MY CUSTOM INTO MY HOME?
We are constantly improving our representation of custom products on our website. That said, every monitor and display could have slight variations for color. We recommend you ordering free fabric samples to visualize the color in your home's lighting through the day and night time.

Dog & Cat Friendly Fabrics
The following patterns are fabrics that we believe will be best if you have a cat. However, we advise you to order fabric samples to ensure they will be compatible with your cat.
- Patterns: Bella, Bennet, Contessa, Dalton, Devon, Empire III & Marquis.
Here some tips to keep in mind:
- Avoid light fabrics: These tend to show spills, stains and drool marks the most.
- Match the fabric to your pet's fur.
While we cherish our feline companions, cat claws have a distinctive ability to damage even the toughest materials, including wood. Our fabrics are designed to endure heavy use thanks to their high rub count. However, if your cat treats the sofa as a scratching post, it is likely to suffer damage because of the sharpness of their claws. We strongly recommend that cat owners discourage their cats from scratching the sofa or using it as a scratching post.
Fabric Care Guide
In general, we recommend promptly treating spots and stains, and avoiding excessive rubbing or brushing. If your fabric can be cleaned using water, upholstery steam cleaners can work magic. If spot cleaning with water, we recommend wetting larger areas in order to avoid the possibility of water stains. Finally, while some fabrics are machine washable, we recommend hand washing or spot treating whenever possible to avoid wear and the possibility of slight shrinkage.
- Cleaning (W) Code Fabrics
A "W" indicates that your piece can be cleaned with water. This means you're safe to use an upholstery/carpet cleaner on your spill or stain. - Cleaning (S) Code Fabrics
An "S" indicates that your piece needs to be cleaned with cleaning solvents (dry clean only) and will not react well if water is applied to it. Spot cleaning is only advised if the product is meant for home dry cleaning use. Make sure that after using a product of this nature to use a blow dryer to dry the spot so it doesn't leave a ring! Stains, spills or dirt in general should be cleaned as soon as possible to retain the longevity of the colors and the fabric. - Cleaning (W/S) Code Fabrics
A "W/S" indicates that you can use either dry cleaning solvents or water with mild hand soap for cleaning. Clean spots as soon as possible before they have a chance to set in.

We couldn't be happier with quality, service and price. We came across What a Room recommendation on Reddit and so glad we followed the advice. It is essentially a custom sofa configuration, firm like we like it but not uncomfortable and in custom color that isn't commonly available. We also have three cats and it's important to be able to easily remove fur and wash the covers when necessary. This sofa truly ticked all the boxes for us.

After searching for a long while and researching numerous companies, I decided to order a Daphne chaise sofa from What a Room. It’s a little scary to order a piece of furniture without seeing it in person, but starting with numerous fabric samples and colors made me much more comfortable. The site provided great instructions on getting proper measurements.
Most (okay, all) of my furniture is in the beige family, but for years I’ve wanted to bring in some color, specifically blue. After looking at fabric samples, I loved the performance microsuede in dynamite blue. Getting a bright , especially for a large piece of furniture, was out of my comfort zone. I almost reverted back to the beige family, but my family knew that I loved the blue color and told me to go for it. I’m so happy that I did as it adds new life to my living room.
All in all, I am extremely happy with my purchase. Love the color, shape, size, and sturdiness. I even went further out of my comfort zone, and with my dynamite blue fabric sample in hand, purchased some patterned throw pillows!

Wow! I am SO happy we trusted in the process and trusted the rest of the reviews for What A Room! Everyone says you should sit on a couch before committing to buying, but honestly I am thrilled we decided to ignore that advice and go with our gut! After doing so much research on companies with a quality product, What A Room was unmatched. We wanted a sofa with a chaise to be able to be more comfortable when lounging and this hit the mark. We have a rather small living room, but needed a custom size to accommodate for the window as well. Everyone was so helpful and we even had the design services mock up a couple of options with the couches we were interested in. I am a very visual person so this really helped! I probably ordered almost every single fabric swatch to see it in my space and I highly recommend you do this as well! The quality and comfort of this couch is amazing. We have had it for about a month now and all I can say is that you will NOT for a single moment regret this purchase! Skip on all the other big name stores and go with What A Room!

Finally got the green couch of my dreams! I am obsessed. The color is perfect, it’s comfortable, and fits the space beautifully. I did a LOT of searching before purchasing a couch, and I’m so glad I went with What a Room. The experience from start to finish was wonderful. I started by ordering 4 swatches in green, but they ended up sending me 12 - which I’m so glad they did, because I ended up choosing a green that wasn’t in my original 4 (I ended up choosing the Penelope Organic color, which is also dog friendly)! I live in a narrow row home, so I’m glad I could customize the couch to fit my space. Gordon from the support team was also great and prompt to answer any questions I had. 10/10 experience, 10/10 couch, 10/10 satisfied. Just get the couch!
